Michael G. Plumides Jr.

Michael Plumides has been in entertainment in one form or another for decades. A native of Charlotte, NC, he honed his skills as Promotions Director at the University of South Carolina's award-winning WUSC-FM, where he interviewed Lemmy Kilmister of Motorhead, Dave Mustaine of Megadeth and countless alternative, punk and metal acts passing through Columbia, SC. He owned the controversial 4808 Club where he hosted Danzig, Soundgarden, Black Crowes, Widespread Panic, Testament, and Bad Brains to name a few. The club was shut down after the infamous GWAR bust of September 1990 in his hometown. Plumides' comment regarding the incident was, "The only time I ever got my name in Rolling Stone Magazine was in the 'Police Blotter."

After attending John Marshall Law School, Plumides went into commercial real estate. But during the age of Myspace, Plumides developed a deeply disturbed following. He felt the urgency to tell his tale 20 years after his club's legendary closing by authorities. From a series of blogs which garnered some attention he wrote KILL THE MUSIC, a memoir documenting his experiences in college radio and the nightclub business during the moral hysteria of the late 1980's and early 1990's. Plumides received the honor of "Best Writer of 2010" by Charlotte Magazine for his tantalizing tome, available on Amazon.

He went on to write for the lauded but defunct Blurt Magazine, covering Bonnaroo and Shaky Knees festivals but also interviewed Jeff Bridges at the 2012 DNC among many others. Plumides has also been a working actor where he has shared scenes with Hugh Jackman, Sam Rockwell, and Michael Rooker. He later wrote and directed the GHOST TREK episodes www.youtube.com/ghosttrektv in hopes of promoting his concept to make the feature, GHOST TREK: CONFEDERATE GHOULS.

As an inventive filmmaker and narrative architect, he was under contract to develop the NIGHTBREED TV series for Morgan Creek Entertainment. When the project was tabled, Plumides rewrote the material to create NOCTURNITY. This story has evolved into a compelling film with co-director Scott Hansen (Devour).
